Spot Sharing Philanthropy Recap for 2014
Spot Sharing is proud of the work done for the local community by Spot’s employees during 2014. Throughout the year, Spot supported eight charities in the Chicagoland area, while our Charitable Eats Treats program supported seven local B-corporations. In the Spring, Minds Matter Chicago was the recipient of the 2014 Game Night funds, which raised over $1,000 through the efforts and donations of everyone involved. Spot employees also participated in the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge which raised money for Get In Chicago. Over the summer, our employees bought 501 ducks in the 2014 Windy City Rubber Ducky Derby. The proceeds benefitted athletes that participate in the Special Olympics Illinois Programs. This year, Spot Sharing added a Penny Challenge to the mix to choose our charity for our annual Fall Fundraiser. SitStayRead, Have Dreams and The GSM Community Shares Program were all supported through this effort. Over the holidays, Spot collected 156 lbs of food for the Greater Chicago Food Depository and participated in the Letters to Santa program through the Chicago Sun-Times, providing toys to 75 students at a local Chicago Public School. Additionally, Spot Trading was a benefactor for the Hedge Funds Care Organization and was the presenting sponsor of the Reach for the Stars Golf Outing organized by Ravinia’s REACH*TEACH*PLAY program. We look forward to continuing our efforts in 2015!
